Chief of Anyima Calls on Government to Act Swiftly to Avert Nkoranza/Mo Land Boundary Clashes
Filed by Nana Yaw Aboagye of Adars FM-Kintampo

Okayver the years, the communities of Nkoranza and Moo (Dega) have lived together peacefully despite facing long-standing land boundary conflicts in Kintampo. However, recent social media activity and rising tensions among the youth have put the people of Kintampo and its surroundings in a precarious situation. If not addressed properly, this could lead to loss of lives and property, as some agitated youths continue to stir up trouble.
To prevent such a situation, the Chief of Anyima, Obrempong Amponsem II, a subchief under the Nkoranza Traditional Area, is urgently calling on security agencies and the President to take necessary actions to ensure continued peaceful coexistence. He emphasized that intermarriages have created strong bonds among the people, and it is crucial to preserve this unity. He made these remarks during a durbar of chiefs and community members held to celebrate the yam festival in Anyima.
