The Ghana Armed Forces have denied reports suggesting the Chief of Army Staff has been shot in Bawku.
Early this week, the Chief of Army Staff visited Bawku to have a first-hand understanding of the situation in the town.
While there, there were videos circulating on social media suggesting that he had been shot.
But a statement from the Ghana Armed Forces on April 25, 2025 asked the general public to treat the news with the contempt it deserves.
The statement cautioned bloggers and content creators to be circumspect in their reportage on the operations of the Ghana Armed Forces, especially in Bawk,u because any deliberate misinformation could be dire.
