Citizens Urged to Pay Taxes for Development-Kintampo South DCE

Hon. Wilfred Zuuri, the District Chief Executive for Kintampo South, has urged citizens and property owners to pay taxes to support development in the district.
He emphasized the importance of tax payment for development and urged citizens and property owners to fulfill their tax obligations.
The Hon.DCE expressed concern that only 2% of residents in the district pay taxes.
According to the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), property owners are required to pay taxes to the government.

Hon. Zuuri Wilfred made this statement to the press while dispatching revenue collectors to various communities in Kintampo South District as part of a revenue mobilization effort aimed at boosting the Internal Generated Funds (IGF).
Hon DCE and his management team appeal to the general public to adhere to this exercise in other to generate more income to improve local infrastructures and services in the assembly.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Wilfred Zuuri, also warned that anyone or individual who will obstruct this tax collection exercise in Kintampo South may result in legal consequences.
