Cloudy skies and thunderstorms expected today — GMET warns

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has forecast mostly cloudy conditions across the country today, with the likelihood of mist or fog patches developing over coastal, forested, and mountainous areas during the morning hours.
According to GMET, as the day progresses, much of the country will experience generally cloudy skies interspersed with occasional sunshine.
However, residents are advised to prepare for possible thunderstorms or rain showers in some areas from the afternoon into the evening.
Temperature readings for today show relatively warm conditions across all sectors. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 23°C to 25°C, while maximum temperatures will vary between 33°C and 38°C.
The coastal areas will record minimum and maximum temperatures of 24°C and 33°C, while the forest zones will experience temperatures between 24°C and 34°C.
Transition zones will see temperatures from 23°C to 36°C, and the northern sector will be the hottest, ranging from 25°C to 38°C.
GMET advises the public, especially commuters and outdoor workers, to take necessary precautions due to the risk of wet roads and reduced visibility during rainfall and misty conditions.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully, and farmers and event organizers are encouraged to monitor updates from GMET throughout the day.
