No 2028 campaign If Mahama fails

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has issued a strong caution to party members, stressing that President John Mahama’s performance will determine the party’s fortunes in the 2028 elections.
Gbande made it clear that he would not be part of the next campaign if Mahama fails to deliver on his mandate during an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen program.
“Anybody who thinks Mahama’s success is not their success is being delusional. If he fails, the NDC will go into opposition because I will not go for the campaign.
“My principles will not allow me to go and lie,” Gbande declared.
He further emphasized that the party’s unity and long-term survival depend on ensuring that Mahama’s administration is successful.
“If President Mahama succeeds, whoever will be our candidate, we will do everything and by every means ensure he becomes president,” Gbande added.
