President John Dramani Mahama is set to swear in a new batch of High Court judges this week, continuing his commitment to strengthening Ghana’s judiciary through appointments that promote justice, accountability, and public trust.
The swearing-in ceremony follows closely on the heels of the President’s recent induction of 21 new Court of Appeal Justices, where he urged them to deliver judgments that inspire confidence rather than silence criticism.
That colourful ceremony, held at the Jubilee House, was attended by several dignitaries including the Vice-President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang; the Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie; Chief of Staff Julius Debrah; senior government officials; Justices of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal; as well as the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
The next event will see the President swear in 41 distinguished individuals to serve as Justices of the High Court.
The list, released by the Office of the President, features both seasoned legal practitioners and rising judicial officers whose appointments are expected to further boost the nation’s justice delivery system.
