Contest for the national chairman, and we’ll vote for you—NPP Chairmen plead with Boakye Agyarko
The Conference of Chairmen of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have appealed to Boakye Agyarko to contest for the position of National Chairman rather than flagbearer.
They believe that with his experience and leadership qualities, he can change the fortunes of the political party, which is currently struggling in opposition.
The plea was made when the constituency chairmen of the New Patriotic Party met in Kumasi for their annual conference.
A constituency chairman who led the charge was heard saying,”Honourable on behalf of the Chairmen we have a message for you. My colleague chairmen, the situation we have now, we need an experienced person to lead this party. If you can join your faith with me, we must plead this man to contest as a National Chairman”.
His position was supported by other Chairmen who were at the conference, who kept chanting National Chairman while Boakye Agyarko addressed them.
Boakye Agyarko is part of the people who have declared their intentions to contest for the flagbearership position in the New Patriotic Party.
In 2024, he was part of the primaries but lost to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who eventually led the political party during the 2028 elctions.
