I can see so much talent in this country- Kim Lars Bjorkegren

Swedish tactician Kim Lars Bjorkegren has expressed his excitement and confidence in Ghana’s football potential, stating that he believes the team has what it takes to be successful looking at the talent pool the nation has.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) officially unveiled the new head coach of the Black Queens, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, to the public on Friday after signing a two-year contract to lead the women’s senior national team.
The 43-year-old replaces Nora Häuptle, who left to join Zambia following the expiration of her contract in the summer.
In his first speech to the general public, the gaffer highlighted the abundance of talent in Ghana.
“I can see so much talent in this country, so I am really sure that, in the short term, we have the potential to be successful. In the long term, I can always guarantee that we will be successful.”
”I know there had been a lot of good work in the past couple of years. I know a little bit about the Volta project that something we gonna keep talking about to change the momentum.” he added
Bjorkegren’s debut as Black Queens coach will be the upcoming friendly against Morocco on February 21 before making his debut in an official tournament in July during the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Black Queens have been paired in a challenging group where they will lock horns with South Africa, Mali and Tanzania in Group C.
