Cudjoe Martin’s journey to becoming UCC’s best graduating student

Cudjoe Martin has made history as the Overall Best Graduating Student from the College of Distance Education (CoDE) at the University of Cape Coast, earning a remarkable CGPA of 3.9 out of 4.0.
His achievement has earned him the prestigious title of Valedictorian during the 10th to 12th sessions of the 57th Congregation.
Born and raised in Denu, a town in the Volta Region, Cudjoe’s academic journey began in local schools—Kasoa Methodist Basic School and Steps to Christ Preparatory School, before continuing at Potsin T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School.
Determined to advance in his studies, he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Management through UCC’s distance education program, overcoming the challenges that come with balancing education and other responsibilities.
Throughout his journey, Cudjoe remained grounded in his faith as an active member of the Christian Fellowship Church.
A passionate football fan, he supports two prominent teams—Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Chelsea FC—and draws inspiration from his role model, Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson, the Founding Dean of the UCC Law Faculty.
In his personal time, Cudjoe is an avid reader and enjoys listening to music, interests that provide him balance and focus.
His success story is a testament to his resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in the value of education.
