Cyber fraud and trafficking ring busted at McCarthy Hills

Ghana’s Immigration Service has busted 50 Nigerians engaged in cyber fraud and trafficking at McCarthy Hills in Accra.

The bust was a result of intelligence-led operations in the early hours of July 24, 2025, in the Ga South Municipality.

This was after the immigration service gathered that some foreigners were illegally residing in McCarthy, while some young persons were trafficked into the country and were forced into cyber fraud.

A statement from the Immigration Service said apart from the 50 Nigerians arrested, the landlord of the apartment in which they were operating has also been picked up.

The service assured the general public of providing details of the operation.
