Date for Dada KD’s final funeral rites postponed to Sep. 6-7; gets state support

The final funeral rites of musician Dada KD has been postponed from 16th and 17th August to September 6 and 7, 2025.
This was announced by colleague musician, Kakyire Kwame Appiah, at a press conference.
“The date for Dada KD’s funeral has been rescheduled from August 16-17 to September 6-7,” he said.
He continued, “On the 6th of September, he will lie in state at the state house to allow Ghanaians and his fans to file past. This will be an assisted state burial for the musician who sold highlife globally”.
However, on September 7, the remains of the musician will be sent to Agona Asaman, where colleagues in the industry in the Ashanti Region will be given the opportunity to pay their last respects to the musician.
