Response to Hon.Joseph Kwame Kumah of NDC’s Article.
OWUSU AGYEI-GOVERNANCE IS ABOUT CONTINUITY OF POLICIES

We (NPP KINTAMPO NORTH) have read with dismay and shock with the NDC member of Parliament for Kintampo North in his attempt to associate himself and the NDC with the launch of the “District Road Improvement Programme” (DRIP)
“Governance Is About Continuity Of Policies” Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah.
Indeed, governance is continuous, but the NDC shouldn’t compare what they did in 2009 to what happened yesterday on the DRIP initiative.
Yesterday’s programme was a novel and the first of it kind. To be placed on record, this is the first time MMDA’S in this country are being supplied with; Tipper Truck, water tank, wheel loader, Motor grader, bulldozers, concrete mixers, low beds and a roller at a go. This is a premium combo package designed to empower Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the necessary resources and equipment to rehabilitate and maintain roads within their areas.
We are happy the MP has realized governance is continuous.
Before Hon. Jakala and his NDC can associate themselves with this great initiative, they should first claim that, they are part of the borrowing the NPP government has contracted since he and the entire minority have been approving each loan.
This initiative and many others are what we (NPP) have borrowed to do.
The invitation given to the Hon. Jakala to witness the program was equally given the general public.
Hon Jakala; therefore, went there as a spectator. His assertion that he went to the grounds to pick information should inform the general public that he knows nothing about the “DRIP” program. We are therefore not surprised the entire minority Caucus lead by Hon. Mahama Ayariga has written to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development requesting further information about the DRIP Policy.
The NDC should not dare to compare their hollow records of supplying of equipment to ours, we are therefore not surprised they couldn’t launch it as we all noticed it yesterday.
Hon. Jakala should read the 2024 formula for sharing the District Assembly Common fund and tell us where his 5% for constituency Labour projects and additional 3% for the constituency Labour project monitoring and evaluation were used to buy the equipment as he is claiming.
Hon. Jakala’s assertion that it is his part of the Common Fund that has been used to buy the equipment is a palpable lie. Infact, he Hon. Jakala has finished spending all his Common fund. He is on record to have said he has used his Common fund to purchase sugar for NDC members who are Muslims.
Not a penny of his Common fund has been spent on the tyres of any of the equipment.
We are therefore calling on Hon. Jakala to desist from spreading falsehood.
If he can not commend the Nana Addo and Bawumia government for introducing such a laudable initiative, he should kindly think of what to do with his ex-gratia as he prepares to leave office as Member of Parliament after the December 7 election.
