Before his unfortunate death, the Liverpool goal scorer Diogo Jota was wedded to Rute Cardoso after 13 years of being together.
The late Diogo Jota and his surviving wife Rute were young lovers, having encountered each other as teens in Porto, Portugal, and their bond lasted for more than ten years.
They exchanged vows or qalked down the aisle on June 22, 2025, only ten days prior to his untimely death.
Rute consistently supported his football career throughout his life from the very beginning.
They had three kids together. Their wedding was a happy event, with both posting heartfelt messages about their “dream realized” and “a day we will always remember.”
Rute Cardoso is now going to carry the burden of raising their three kids alone.
