Disappointing Mahama is the reason why the youth are losing trust in politicians-Nana Akomea

The former managing director of the State Transport Corporation (STC), Nana Akomea, has expressed disappointment in the current government.

He says the NDC under John Dramani Mahama has disappointed the Ghanaian people by doing the same thing they condemned during the NPP’s tenure.

To him, if John Dramani Mahama meant it when he said he was coming to reset Ghana, then a number of things need to change.

He used the opportunity to condemn the use of security agencies to scare Ghanaians and also called for proper interventions to end the Bawku conflict.

“While we were in office, the NDC condemned us for engaging in a family and friends government. They convinced the Ghanaian people that they would do things differently, and they were voted for. After getting power, they are doing the same things they condemned,” he said.

Adding that “They have deceived the people of Ghana and that is why the belief in democracy is dwindling. I am pained that they came to power to reset but look at the Bank of Ghana where the Governor is the Board Chairman. How is the work of the Bank of Ghana checked? John Mahama came as an Angel but has kept this. We all know that arrangement is bad so if you say you are coming to reset the country then you should be committed to it,” he said in an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM.
