Donations for helicopter crash victims’ children top GHC 7.2m

Public solidarity continues to pour in for the families affected by the August 6 helicopter crash, with the Children’s Support Fund announcing fresh donations that have brought its total to GHS 7,292,135 and US$20,000.
Between September 12 and 24, contributions came from both institutions and individuals, including Risk Management Ltd., Federated Commodities, Willbeck Consult, Sida Global Logistics & Engineering Ltd., the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and private donors such as Accra Mayor Michael Kpakpo Allotey, and Dr. Li & Chen Guo Wei.
Coordinator of the Fund and Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, expressed gratitude, noting that the money will be directed into “supporting the education, healthcare, and general welfare of the affected children.”
The Fund further reminded the public that donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana (Stanbic Heights Branch) in cedi and dollar accounts, or via cheque, bank draft, and mobile money.
