The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast continued cloudy conditions, light to moderate rain, and mist across various parts of the country from the evening of Monday, July 7, through the morning and afternoon of Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

According to a weather bulletin issued by GMet, most areas will experience cloudy weather tonight with chances of light to moderate rainfall. The agency also warns of reduced visibility in some regions early Tuesday morning due to mist and fog, especially in coastal, mountainous, and forested zones.

Regional Outlook

Coastal areas including Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, and Axim are expected to see slight rain in the evening and early morning, followed by mostly cloudy conditions in the afternoon with temperatures ranging between 23°C and 29°C.

Inland and forested areas such as Koforidua, Akim Oda, Kumasi, Obuasi, and Tarkwa have a 40% chance of rain in the evening. These areas will experience mist in the early hours of Tuesday and intermittent rain throughout the day, with daytime temperatures expected to reach up to 30°C.

Volta Region towns like Ho, Kete Krachi, and Yendi will experience cloudy or rainy conditions in the evening and early morning, with isolated thunderstorms expected by afternoon.

Sea Conditions

GMet noted that sea conditions along the coast are rough, advising caution for seafarers and coastal communities.

General Advisory

The Agency has advised the public to be cautious of poor visibility during early hours and to prepare for occasional rains, especially in areas with a high probability of thunderstorms. Morning and evening temperatures across the country will remain relatively cool.

The statement, signed by Duty Forecaster Muriel Gyanewa Omari, emphasized that GMet will continue to provide timely updates as weather conditions evolve.
