Don’t threaten us – Lawyers of Adu-Boahen reacts to stolen vehicle case

Lawyers for Kwabena Adu-Boahen have reacted to the defamation complaint involving Mr. Philip Kwame Brobbey, insisting that their client has done no wrong and should not be threatened with legal action.
The letter, dated August 1, 2025, and addressed to Kwesi Baffoe Intsiful of Intsiful Law Consult, rebuts claims that Mr. Adu-Boahene defamed Mr. Brobbey.
Instead, the firm expressed surprise at the accusation, insisting that the circumstances surrounding the sale of a vehicle flagged by Interpol as stolen are clear and damaging to Mr. Brobbey’s own reputation.
Zoe, Akyea & Co. emphasized that Mr. Adu-Boahene became a target of public and criminal scrutiny only because he was sold a stolen vehicle, and that this situation has “opened up our Client to public shame and criminal investigations.”
“The Client can enjoy his post-facto rationalisations, not having himself conducted any due diligence on the stolen vehicle before selling it to our Client,” the letter pointed out, placing the blame squarely on Mr. Brobbey for negligence.
Further, the law firm discouraged any legal threats over defamation, calling such actions ill-advised and premature. “Please do not vex us twice with a threat of a defamation action,” the letter concluded bluntly.
