Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure has backed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the New Patriotic Party in 2028.
He explains that the former Vice President is the most formidable candidate the opposition party can field if they want to make an impact in the 2028 elections.
Making this position known in a post shared via social media, he said “Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the NPP’s best bet, the party’s most formidable candidate in the next election“.
It is not clear why he is backing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, but he explained that he is the most feared by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for future elections.
“I don’t need a job from Miracles to know that Bawumia is the NPP candidate you people fear most going into future elections,” he said.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has not yet declared his intentions to contest in the party’s presidential primaries.
However, he has told the over 60 Members of Parliament who visited him at his office that he is still consulting and will declare in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum and Bryan Acheampong have openly declared their intentions to contest for the flagbearership slot in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
