Dr Mahamudu Bawumia used the opportunity to appeal to the government for a state burial for the music legend.
In a post shared via social media announcing his visit, the former vice president acknowledged Daddy Lumba’s influence and the impact he had in his short life.
His post read “Together with some officials of the NPP, MPs and friends, I visited the residence of the late music legend, Daddy Lumba, to commiserate with his family and also sign the book of condolence.
Lumba’s contributions to the nation through his deep and timeless songs are immense, and in recognition of his great service to the nation, I appealed for the state to honour him with a state funeral.
May his soul rest in peace”.
