Drama won’t save you – Nketia tells Chief Justice Torkornoo

Johnson Asiedu Nketia has accused suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornoo of deliberately dramatising her removal process to win public sympathy and divert attention from the legal merits of the case.
The seasoned politician expressed concern over what he described as an emotional strategy being deployed by Justice Torkornoo in the face of constitutionally backed proceedings.
“She’s dramatising the situation to win public sympathy. If you believe you’ve been threatened, report it. Don’t just make claims. Present the evidence. Let the police and the courts do their job,” he stated on Joy News.
Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, questioned the rationale behind the Chief Justice’s recent comments suggesting she felt intimidated by the judicial process and system she once led.
“That’s just symbolism. The building itself can’t intimidate you,” he added, in reference to her remarks implying fear and injustice from the same judiciary she presided over.
He argued that instead of addressing the matter through public press conferences and emotive appeals, Justice Torkornoo should rely on the same legal processes she once upheld.
