Member of Parliament for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo, has insisted that his constituency does not need to take a step back by bringing in a new Member of Parliament.
According to him, the constituency has moved three steps forward and will see progress in the coming days.
Therefore, removing him and bringing in a new person will be a step in the wrong direction for the constituency.
He noted while speaking to the press in Bolgatanga that in politics, the longer you stay in Parliament and the impact you make, puts you in the better place to serve your people well.
Isaac Adongo says he believes that is the reason why he has been made the Head of the Finance Committee in Parliament, indicating that the people will start reaping from that position in the shortest possible time.
“I have a job for four years. If I deliver it well, that seat is in my hands. If I don’t deliver it, I can’t blame anybody,” he stated.
Adding that “In this game, the longer you stay and the more impact you make in the political circle, the better you are at supporting your people. We cannot all of a sudden take three steps and take one step back to go and start all the way”.
