Enemies used spiritual means to kill Kumi – NPP’s Akwatia secretary claims

Eugene Opoku-Acheampong, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Constituency Secretary for Akwatia, has alleged that the recent death of parliamentary candidate Ernest Yaw Kumi was not natural but rather the result of spiritual attacks orchestrated by political enemies.
Opoku-Acheampong made it clear he believes the late Kumi’s passing was not divine will.
“One thing I will say is that the death of Ernest Yaw Kumi is not from God, it was orchestrated by men,” he stated in an exclusive interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV,
According to him, Kumi’s untimely demise must be viewed beyond the physical.
He claimed there had been ongoing threats and whispered conversations about removing Kumi from the political space by any means necessary.
“I am stating on authority that it is a spiritual matter…we know his predicament he faced after the election,” he said.
“People were openly saying that there would be a by-election at Akwatia even if they have to use foul means to do it.”
Ernest Yaw Kumi, a rising figure within the NPP, contested the Akwatia seat and was widely regarded as a strong contender in the party’s political future.
While some political watchers are calling for restraint in drawing spiritual conclusions, Opoku-Acheampong insists that the threats Kumi faced before his death point to a sinister plot cloaked in political rivalry.
