Nana Tornado has shared his thoughts on the impact of strict parenting, recalling his own experiences growing up.
The outspoken actor and socialite explained that many children feel suffocated by overly controlling parents, which often leads them to seek independence at an early age.
“Every child needs his or her freedom, whether good or bad,” he said on the RBC podcast, which was monitored by MyNewsGh, emphasizing that children develop better when they are given space to grow.
He recounted how some children, especially those with strict fathers, often feel relieved when their fathers are not around.
“Let me say, there are some kids who are genuinely happy when their father is out of the house or travels. Look at the freedom they have. It’s the same with strict mothers,” he noted.
Tornado, who has always been vocal about his unconventional views on life, believes that giving children room to explore helps shape them into independent thinkers.
