Fake security officers arrested at Awoshie DVLA polling station

Several individuals posing as security personnel have been arrested near the Awoshie DVLA polling station in the Ablekuma North Constituency, amid the parliamentary election re-run.
The arrests were confirmed by John Desmond Nii Sowah Nai, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West and Dean of MMDCEs in the Greater Accra Region, who told Citi News the suspects are believed not to be affiliated with any recognised state security agency.
The group, dressed in brown uniforms, was found stationed near the entrance of the polling center. Their presence raised concerns after they failed to provide valid identification, prompting suspicions from the deployed election security team.
According to Citi News sources, the individuals were unable to properly identify themselves and were subsequently escorted to the Odorkor Police Station for further investigation.
