Family of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings expresses gratitude to Ghanaians

Hon. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, has thanked Ghanaians on behalf of the family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

The message, accompanied by an image of the stateswoman, expressed the family’s appreciation to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support shown during their period of mourning.

The statement highlighted the comforting presence, prayers and solidarity extended to the family, noting that such gestures had honoured the memory of the former First Lady.

It read; “We would like to express our profound gratitude to all who have stood by us during this period of mourning.

“Your presence, prayers and comforting support have honoured the memory of our beloved former First Lady, H.E. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.”

“We are deeply grateful for the strength you have shared with us, reminding us that in times of sorrow, the warmth of community and the bonds of family remain unbroken,” the message said.

The tribute comes in the wake of a state funeral held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra, where Ghanaians from all walks of life gathered to bid farewell to the pioneering former First Lady.

The ceremony drew national leaders, diplomats, clergy and hundreds of mourners who paid their respects to a woman widely regarded as a symbol of courage, resilience and public service.
