Felix Gyamfi reassigned from NSA to Finance Ministry

Barely seven months after his appointment, the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance, effective immediately.

The sudden move has stirred debate within public sector circles, given its timing and the critical role of the NSA in national service postings.

Though no official reason has been communicated, sources at the Jubilee House hint that the decision is part of a broader reshuffle aimed at strengthening the government’s economic management team.

Yet, other reports suggest operational challenges within the NSA may have influenced the change.

Citi Newsroom sources indicate that delays in the deployment of new service personnel—linked to an audit of the Authority’s online portal—had become a point of concern.

Tensions are also said to have flared between Gyamfi and his supervising minister, George Opare Addo.

While the Minister of Youth Development reportedly advocated for an entirely new deployment portal to fix loopholes, Gyamfi insisted the existing system could be upgraded rather than discarded.
