Fiifi Kwetey rules out contesting for the NDC chairmanship position.

General Secretary for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Kwetey, has ruled out contesting for the chairmanship of the political party.
The General Secretary has confirmed that he will stick to his position after the party endorsed him to lead as General Secretary.
He made this known when he shared a post via social media by his aide.
The post read “Fifi Fiavi Kwetey Rules Out Ambition for NDC Chairmanship, Focuses on General Secretary Role.
Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the current General Secretary of the NDC, has no ambition of becoming the party’s Chairman, either now or in the foreseeable future.
He was overwhelmingly endorsed by party executives from the constituency to the national level and is committed to fulfilling his mandate as General Secretary.
Kindly disregard the rumours and polls in circulation that featured him in the Chairmanship category.
I speak on authority that Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has expressed dedication to his role as General Secretary, focusing on party development, cohesion within the party for political effectiveness, and Ghana’s economic growth”.
There have been polls suggesting that the General Secretary of the NDC will be contesting for the chairmanship position.
This comes after there are reports suggesting that Asiedu Nketia may be lacing his boots to contest for the flagbearership of the NDC after John Dramani Mahama’s exit in the 2028 elections.
