A 35-year-old teacher has been burnt to death at Asemenya, a suburb of New Edubiase in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.
MyNewsGh.com gathered that the deceased, identified as Theophilus Ofori, who teaches at New Edubiase J.H.S “B”, was trapped in his room by the fire that had gutted a three-bedroom house on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Before help could arrive, the teacher was burnt beyond recognition and his charred remains taken to the New Edubiase Government Hospital morgue for preservation.
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service in the Adansi South District are currently investigating the cause of the inferno, which also resulted in the loss of property estimated at several thousands of Ghana Cedis.
