Parts of the Mallam Atta market in Accra have been razed by fire.
Although we cannot readily report the cause of the fire, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene fighting it.
Currently, three (3) appliances from Headquarters, Circle, and Flagstaff House are at the scene fighting the fire.
Structures and properties worth millions of cedis have been destroyed as a result of the fire.
This adds to the number of market fires recorded this year whose causes have yet to be identified.
Unfortunately, the Ghana Fire Service hasn’t been forthcoming with information on the cause of these fires.
