Former Greater Accra NDC Chairman Ade Coker is dead

Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker, is dead.

The former chairman is said to have passed away on May 31 at the Bank Hospital after a short illness.

However, tributes from party folks and other close relations are pouring in on social media.

National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo in a post shared via social media said “I am overwhelmed with emotions and struggling to find the words. In the 2022 internal party elections, one of the few senior party members who boldly showed support for me in my reelection bid was Snr Santa Ade.

Despite losing his own election, Snr Santa Ade, as I affectionately called him, continued to support me. You served Ghana well in both politics and sports. May you rest peacefully in the bosom of the most high, Snr Santa Ade Coker”.

Chief Executive Officer for NPA, Edudzi Tamakloe also in a post shared via social media wrote “I call him Chairman Ade Coker.

I served under his chairmanship as a Deputy Regional Youth Organizer in Greater Accra region.

He was a father figure and he taught me a lot.

He taught me one thing, you can’t stop people from talking about you but learn how to react.

Most importantly, get the work done.

He calls me “my lawyer.”

You have served party and Ghana well.

Rest well in the Lord’s Mighty hands.

Amen
