Alfred Agbesi’s political career was marked by significant milestones. In 2008, after being re-elected as an MP, he was selected to represent Ghana in the ECOWAS Parliament.
He was part of the Ghanaian delegation both in 2009 and 2013, contributing to discussions and decisions on regional issues.
Agbesi also held key leadership roles within Ghana’s parliament, notably serving as the deputy majority leader.
However, his career faced challenges, including a tragic accident in 2017.
Agbesi sustained injuries after his vehicle collided with an articulated truck on the Tema-Aflao Highway near Dawhenya, around the Miotso campus of the Central University.
He was immediately rushed to the Tema General Hospital for treatment and was admitted for care.
