Former NPRA boss predicts Bawumia victory in 2028

Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions and Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Mr. John Mbroh, has expressed strong optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is working tirelessly to return to power in 2028 with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as its flagbearer.
In an exclusive interview with MyNewsGh.com reporter Hajia Asana Gordon, Mr. Mbroh said the NPP is reorganizing itself ahead of the 2028 general elections and is confident the party will bounce back stronger.
“God willing, by January next year Ghana will have an opposition leader who will actually work for the benefit of Ghanaians, so that the country will return to the path of policies, innovations, and groundbreaking interventions that will expand our economy,”* he stated.
He predicted that Dr. Bawumia’s victory in the upcoming NPP presidential primaries would be decisive, propelling the party into the 2028 elections with renewed energy.
“Leadership is about choices, and if you are making the right choices, the future generation will also benefit.
“The choices we make today will have an impact on tomorrow, so we need to be strong and innovative so that the people of this nation will benefit,” Mr. Mbroh emphasized.
Highlighting the NPP’s preparedness, he added.
“NPP is a major political party going into the next elections with clear strategies. Giving the opposition leader three clear years ahead of the elections tells how poised we are.”
Mr. Mbroh also urged supporters of all NPP presidential aspirants to conduct themselves responsibly during and after the primaries.
According to him, every member has the right to support a candidate of their choice, but the ultimate goal must be party unity.
“For the sake of the future of the NPP, followers of the aspirants should comport themselves well because people have the right to belong where they want to,” he said, calling for unity before and after the January primaries.
