Former NSB boss diverted Ghc 39 million belonging to the agency

Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine has disclosed that former Director of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu-Boahene, allegedly diverted and embezzled up to GH¢39 million from the agency.

He made this known while addressing the media on Monday, March 24, 2025.

“We are still tracking suspect Adu-Boahene, his wife, and their assets. In the coming days, we will file the necessary charges against them,” the Attorney General stated.

It will be recalled that Kwabena Adu-Boahene was picked up by the National Investigative Bureau at the Kotoka International Airport.

His wife was subsequently picked up from their home by the NIB last week.

Deputy Attorney General speaking on their arrest said “A while ago, I visited Mr Kwabena Adu-Boahene and his wife, Madam Angela Adjei-Boateng, who are in the custody of law enforcement officials and are assisting in investigations. They confirmed to me that they have access to counsel of their choice and are being treated well. No one, regardless of the nature of the suspicion or accusations, should be treated as guilty until they’re actually proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction”.
