Final funeral rites have been held in memory of the late Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
The event, which drew the creme de la creme in Ghana’s politics, saw in attendance the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and his wife.
The Vice President of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, was also present at the event.
Also in attendance were former presidents John Agyekum Kufour and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Samira Bawumia were also present at the event.
Other dignitaries include ministers, MPs, and CEOs of state institutions across the country who came to pay their last respects.
Tributes were read by family, her children, the 31st December Women’s Movement, and other loved ones.
Her exemplary lifestyle and impact made while alive were remembered on the day as tributes poured in.
Patrons of the funeral were reminded of the need to take up her selflessness and fight for justice.
