Ga Mantse urges unity after deadly helicopter crash

The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has urged Ghanaians to rally behind the families of the eight people who died in the tragic military helicopter crash in Adansi Akrofuom on August 6.
Speaking in the wake of the disaster, he stressed the need for national solidarity during this period of mourning.
“The bereaved family have the support of all of us. Let’s rally behind the families. Let’s rally behind the President as we mourn the departed. This is not the time for division,” he said.
The Ga Mantse described the victims as heroes who were in the line of duty, noting, “We pray for God’s blessings for the family, we console them on behalf of the country.
“Our spirit as a nation will not be broken. May God bless our homeland Ghana.”
The call for unity follows reports that the Ghana Armed Forces helicopter, carrying three crew members and five passengers, including top government officials, crashed and burned beyond recognition.
The GAF confirmed that the aircraft was flying from Accra to Obuasi when it went off the radar, and all passengers on board perished.
