GAF offers jobs to families of deceased recruits

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced a special recruitment package for the families of six recruits who died, and for those injured, in a stampede during the November 12th recruitment exercise.
In a press release, Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations, extended the force’s sympathies, stating, “The Ghana Armed Forces regrets the unfortunate incident, and extends its deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, and also wishes the injured a speedy recovery.”
Outlining the support, she confirmed, “All injured will continue to receive free medical services at 37 Military Hospital until they recover.”
Furthermore, she announced, “A special recruitment package will be offered to all injured after full recovery and also to the bereaved families.”
The recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region, which was suspended after the incident, has now resumed with a new team overseeing the process.
