GAF vows to deal with potential recruit who forged documents

The Ghana Armed Forces have confirmed that an applicant has been arrested for forging documents.

Director of Protocol for the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Evelyn Asamoah, said the suspect has been apprehended by security authorities and will be dealt with in line with established procedures.

However, the identity of the individual has not been made public.

The suspect was arrested after the recruitment exercise, which was put on ice due to the death of six prospective recruits, started today, November 20, 2025.

Prior to filing this report, over 1000 applicants had been attended to by the Ghana Armed Forces in the various designated areas for the exercise.

Meanwhile, before the start of the exercise, a Parliamentary select committee were on the grounds to monitor events.
