Gbande fingers internal saboteurs behind reports of Yamin’s involvement in illegal mining

Deputy General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande has pointed hands at internal saboteurs who want the downfall of Joseph Yamin.
He says persons in the NDC are behind the allegations that Yamin is behind an illegal taskforce illegally taking monies at mining sites across the country.
Gbande who was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM said they will name and shame such persons who he labels as ungrateful.
”Yamin is not in mining, Chief if he was into mining it’s a different matter and I’m saying the NPP is not behind this one, it’s internal. There are fools everywhere, so you think it’s everybody who is grateful? You think it’s everybody who wants John Mahama to be in power? Some people want us to fail so that they will say Mustapha and Yamin are not loved by the party so that they will come and take our place”.
He believes that such sabotage will not work because “we have spent our youthful age working for the party. There are people who refused to go out and campaign but today they are Ministers and nobody is talking and today they have the effrontery to rubbish party elders. The incentivizing thing is is that when we go to the villages and we meet the grassroots they appreciate what we’ve done and that is enough”.
”You just sit down and try to destroy the person after all the person has done for what? Yamin is not bitter but time will tell. If you don’t know how to say thank you, let us have our peace,” he stated.
Over the weekend there were reports that Joseph Yamin had set out an illegal task force taking money from illegal miners at various mining sites.
The National Organizer in a statement rejected the claim and called on persons whose monies have been taken to get to the right authorities to get their issues resolved for them.
