The Ghana Police Service has disclosed that it has arrested the suspect in the Gbawe shooting incident.
The 19th June 2025 incident took the life of a Queen mother Pearl Naa Doduwaa Withaker while leaving another injured.
After realizing the harm caused Star boy fled the scene to his hideout in the Ashanti region where he was arrested.
Briefing the media on July 7, Greater Accra Regional PRO, Superintendent Juliana Obeng, explained that the suspect, Gilbert Awuni, alias Starboy aimed and shot a 33-year-old Queen mother Pearl Naa Dooduwa Whitaker who died on the spot.
According to her, Star boy confessed during interrogation that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, other persons involved in the indiscriminate shooting at the venue have been arrested.
