Ghana mourns helicopter crash victims

On August 15, 2025, Ghana buried the final set of victims in the August 6 helicopter crash that took the lives of 8 gallant men.
The funeral was strictly a military funeral conducted by the Ghana Armed Forces.
The funeral, which was divided into three parts, began with Bible and Qur’an recitals, followed by the main service, and concluded with the burial.
The pre-burial programme started at exactly 7:30 am and ended at 9:00 am.
Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang made her way to the event at 8:50 am, while the President came in at 9:00 am to commence the service.
The three-hour ceremony featured the reading of biographies of all eight crash victims and tributes from widows, children, government officials, and institutional representatives.
