Ghana renews ceasefire call as Palestinian envoy visits Ablakwa

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that Ghana remains unwavering in its call for a ceasefire in Gaza and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
In a Facebook post, the Foreign Minister disclosed that he hosted His Excellency Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, the Chief Justice of Palestine, at his office on behalf of the President of the State of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Abbas. According to the MP, the Palestinian envoy delivered a special message from President Abbas.
“It was an honour to receive H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, the Chief Justice of Palestine.
“He was in my office yesterday as a special envoy of the President of the State of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Abbas to deliver a message,” Ablakwa shared.
The North Tongu legislator emphasized Ghana’s strong stance on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“Ghana reiterates its demand for ceasefire in Gaza; strongly condemns the mass killings; reaffirms our steadfast support for a two-state solution as prescribed by the UN; calls for an end to the mass displacement of Palestinians; urges the safe and unfettered passage of humanitarian aid; and insists on the release of all hostages.”
He also underscored Ghana’s commitment to global peace and human rights.
“As a member of the UN Human Rights Council, Ghana will continue to uphold our longstanding sacred principles of respect for the UN Charter, belief in the values of human rights, adherence to the rule-based order and entrench our enviable reputation as a global force for peace.”
