GHOne TV’s Ridwan Dini-Osman named 2025/2026 Nieman fellow at Harvard

Award-winning Ghanaian journalist Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman of GHOne TV and Starr FM has been selected as a 2025/2026 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, becoming the only African in this year’s globally prestigious cohort of 22 journalists from nine countries.
The Nieman Fellowship, now in its 88th year, offers top journalists the opportunity to audit Harvard and MIT courses, and explore pressing issues in journalism.
Ridwan’s focus will be on advancing inclusive reporting in African newsrooms, especially around marginalised communities.
Dini-Osman joins fellows from The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR, and Bloomberg, studying topics ranging from AI and misinformation to climate change and war crimes.
Known for his impactful reporting across continents, Ridwan has earned numerous accolades, including the Lorenzo Natali Prize, the Global Health Crisis Award, and the Covering Climate Now Award.
EIB’s News Editor Alice Aryeetey praised the achievement, saying it reflects both Ridwan’s brilliance and the growing global influence of Ghanaian journalism.
