GMet forecast high temperatures and possible thunderstorms in parts of Ghana today

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions across the country today, with high temperatures expected nationwide.
In its daily forecast issued by the Central Analysis and Forecasting Office (CAFO), GMet noted that early morning mist is likely to form over forested and hilly areas, particularly in the southern part of the country.
As the day progresses, most parts of the country will experience predominantly sunny conditions. However, the forecast also warns that some areas in the middle belt, transition zone, and northern sector could experience thunderstorms, with or without rain, during the late afternoon and evening hours.
Temperature readings released by the agency indicate a hot day ahead, with maximum temperatures soaring to 41°C in the northern sector. Other regions are expected to record high temperatures as follows: transition zone, 37°C; forest zone, 36°C; coastal areas, 34°C.
GMet has advised the public to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the heat, especially those in the northern and transitional areas where the heat is expected to be most intense.
