Actress and media personality Ariyike Owolagba, known as Ariyiike Dimples, has shared a deeply personal account of a moment she believes tested her spiritual commitment.
Speaking on the Open Up podcast monitored by MyNewsGh, she revealed that she once felt compelled by God to give away her wristwatches , items she previously considered part of her identity.
“I don’t know if I told you, but God told me to sow my wristwatches,” she said, describing the instruction as unexpected and confronting.
According to her, the message was clear; “You think it’s the watch that is making you who you are? Go and sow it. Let’s see if your heart is truly yielded to me.”
Ariyiike explained that the experience forced her to reflect on the role material things played in her life.
She said the moment marked a deeper shift in her walk with God and strengthened her conviction that spiritual obedience sometimes demands uncomfortable sacrifices.
Beyond her faith journey, she also spoke about losing her father and how the period of grief pushed her back into reading, prayer, and self-discovery.
“God has been building me since childhood,” she noted, adding that the stillness after her father’s passing helped her reconnect with who she truly was.
Ariyiike described the season as transformative and emphasized that her renewed spiritual grounding now shapes how she navigates criticism, boundaries, and personal choices.
