Gonjaland must emulate him – Jinapor eulogizes late Limuna

Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has described the late Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru as an uncle and someone he shared a long-standing relationship with.
Reacting to the news of Limuna’s passing in the Adansi Akrofuom helicopter crash, Jinapor expressed his deep condolences to the people of Damongo and called on Gonjaland to take inspiration from the late politician’s life and work.
“He was my uncle, someone I have been with for a very long time,” the MP said. “Gonjaland must emulate him.”
“We had a strong relationship of mutual respect. Last week, he insisted that he visit my office even though I always go and visit him. He insisted that he wanted to come and see where I work from now that I’m not in government.”
“The people we love the most are the people we also love. Allah knows why he’s invited him. I wish him peaceful rest and for Allah to open the doors of heaven to him and look after him for us,” he prayed, adding that “we are all one people and I think unfortunate tragedies like yesterday should tell us that we are all one people”.
Alhaji Limuna was among eight individuals who lost their lives in the military helicopter crash that occurred on August 6 in the Ashanti Region. He was serving as the acting Deputy National Security Coordinator at the time of his death.
Limuna’s career in public service included roles as Northern Regional Minister, Upper East Regional Minister, and Minister of State at the Presidency.
He was known for his involvement in regional development efforts and was considered a key figure in government during his years in active service.
His passing has been met with condolences from political figures, state institutions, and residents of the Northern Region.
