GRNMA strike begins today: Here is the Roadmap

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association is not backing down on their strike action.
Although the Health Ministry and the Labour Minister have asked that they call off the strike and come to the table, the association is of the view that the government is not committed in implementing their condition of service.
The association has provided a roadmap that will be adhered to by its members as they seek better conditions of service.
From June 2–3, 2025, Nurses and midwives will wear red armbands and headbands in protest.
June 4–8, 2025, there will be a withdrawal of outpatient department (OPD) services.
From June 9, 2025, there will be a total withdrawal of all nursing and midwifery services nationwide.
It is expected that more than 128,000 nurses and midwives across Ghana will be embarking on the strike action.
