Gyakye Quayson, Affo-Toffey, 2 others face vetting today

Parliament’s Appointments Committee will today, July 25, 2025, vet four deputy ministers-designate.
The nominees include James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North – nominated as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro—nominated as Deputy Minister for Transport.
Others are Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West—nominated as Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation—and Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan—nominated as Deputy Minister for Health.
The nominees are part of the final batch submitted to Parliament by President Mahama on July 9, 2025, under Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
This will form the final phase of nominees for ministerial positions in the John Dramani Mahama administration’s first year.
