Gyampo roars at GBA over position on CJ’s removal; says they may soon become Ghana “Chop” Bar Association

Chief Executive Officer of the Shippers Authority, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has taken a swipe at the position of the Ghana Bar Association.
In a series of posts on social media, he questioned the association’s existence in the last eight years during the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led administration.
To him, it is worrying for an Association to be only heard during one regime and go silent when others are in power.
What’s even worrying to Gyampo is the fact that their position, being expressed, cannot be found in law.
“A Ghana Bar Association that only speaks when one particular regime is in power; and a Ghana Bar Association whose position on a legal matter cannot be found in law, may soon be called a Ghana “Chop” Bar Association if it doesn’t repent,” he said in a post shared via social media.
He added “Thaddeus Sory, Prof. Kweku Azar and Prof. H. Kwesi Prempeh who have written to expose the hypocrisy and the unconstitutional stance of the 43-GBA members are LEGAL BRAINS, not “legal legs”. The brain is the most important”.
