Hate is a burden, travel light– Segun Arinze on feud with Emeka Ike

Nollywood veteran Segun Arinze has confirmed that his long-standing feud with fellow actor Emeka Ike is a thing of the past.
Speaking in an interview with QED.ng’s Olumide Iyanda, Arinze revealed that they have reconciled and now share a cordial relationship.
“Emeka Ike is a fine actor. We still talk and laugh about those things. The conflict ended naturally. Hate is a burden. Travel light. What do I need that animosity for?” he stated.
Their feud dates back to 2009 when the two clashed over the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Emeka Ike even secured a court injunction in 2011, forcing Arinze to step down as AGN president. Despite the tension at the time, the two actors have since moved on, proving that time heals all wounds.
Emeka Ike and Segun Arinze are both renowned Nigerian actors. Emeka Ike became famous in the 1990s and early 2000s for his romantic roles in Nollywood films, while Segun Arinze is known for his versatile performances in over 200 films.
Both have had long careers in the industry and are also notable for their personal lives, with Emeka Ike being involved in a leadership dispute in Nollywood and Segun Arinze also making a mark in music.
