He who rules by the media will fall by the media

Martin Amidu has slammed the current Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, describing his leadership as marked by desperation, incompetence, and media manipulation.
Amidu, who served as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor, said Agyebeng’s recent public outbursts, including a widely circulated interview with KSM, were acts of desperation aimed at preserving his position amid mounting calls for his removal.
“As the calls for Kissi Agyebeng’s head to be guillotined increased, he grew desperate to position himself as the victim of persecution,” Amidu wrote in an opinion piece which we sighted.
“He who rules by the media will be overthrown by the media.”
He accused Agyebeng of seeking public sympathy through “gullible” sections of civil society and media allies while failing to demonstrate integrity and professionalism in office.
“Kissi Agyebeng does not possess the high moral character and proven integrity to lead the fight against corruption in Ghana,” Amidu asserted. “He is dishonest to high heavens to be the Special Prosecutor of Ghana.”
Amidu further accused the government of shielding Agyebeng despite breaches of the OSP Act, suggesting both the previous Akufo-Addo administration and the current Mahama government have found it politically convenient to protect him.
